VISIT BY TWO MINISTERS
HON. R. SEMPLE AND HON. P. C. WEBB CIVIC RECEPTION AT NOON TO-MORROW The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, and the Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Mines, will arrive in Nelson from Wellington to-morrow morning in the course of a tour of the northern end of the South Island. They will be staying at the Masonic Hotel and at 9 o’clock will receive deputations which will be introduced by Mr H. Atmore, M.P. The deputations 1 will make representations regarding the Midland Railway, the tobacco industry, and Transport Board matters. The Hon. W. H. Mclntyre (chairman of the Nelson Education Board) and AJr Atmore will make representations to the Ministers regarding a proposal of a playground for the Auckland Point School on the mudflat opposite the school. A number of private deputations regarding mining and prospecting will also be heard. At noon a civic reception will be tendered the Ministers at the Municipal buildings. After lunch the Ministers will go to Motueka. In the evening they will be entertained by the Motueka branch of the Labour Party. On Sunday they will arrive at Murchison and on Monday the Ministers will proceed to the West Coast.
