OIL BEARING FORMATIONS
IN N£W GUINEA AN AERIAL SURVEY (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 4th September. Three small twin-engined British aeroplanes have been selected for an aerial survey of oil-bearing formations of over 40,000 square miles in the netherlaiids of New Guinea'. They will , make a deliver v flight to Java by way of. Cairo, Baghdad, Karachi, and Singapore. They are De Havilland Dragon Rapides, adapted lor vertical photography.
