He says cancer organisation has reached a high standard of efficiency and the main hospitals all had cancer clinics with a .special* -medical officer in charge. Dealing with .the advances in radio therapy he said several hospitals were trying out a cheap low voltage Xray apparatus for treatment of superficial cancer cases. This form had been used in Germ'any with success, - and might be used as a substitute for radium when radium was’not readily available. Great interest attached to the treatment of cases of malignant'disease with beam therapy involving the use of a radium bomb, but cases treated with it necessarily require observation over a period of years before any final conclusions could be drawn.
