SECOND AT INVERCARGILL RANGE OF PRICES (By Telegraph—Press Association) INVERCARGILL, This Day. Wool prices having shown a downward tendency since the first sale of the Invercargill series on Ist February, it was anticipated by those most interested that the values ‘ruling at the second auction which was held in the Civic Theatre last evening would be reduced in comparison. There was, however, in the main only a slight easing upon the February" prices obtained here, while in some grades prices were actually better. The offering totalled 15,954 bales.

The range of prices is: — Corriedale —Super 10d to 10fd. Half bred—Super 10d to 10fd; medium bl,d to 10£d; inferior 8d to B|d. Fine crossbred, 48/50’s—Super Bjrd to 9Ad; medium 7d to 8d; inferior 6|d to 7d. Medium crossbred 44/46’s —Super 7d to 7^l; medium to 7d; inferior 5d to 6d.

Coarse crossbred, 40/44’s —Super 6d to 6j|d ; average s£d to 6d; inferior 5d to s^d. Hogget, fine crossbred 48/50’s —Super 9jd to 101;d; medium 8d to 9d; inferior 7d to Bd.

Medium crossbred 44/46’s —Super 7|d to Bgd; medium 7d to 7|d; inferior 5d to s|d. Pieces—Halfbred 7£d to 8J d ; first crossbred s£d to 6|d ; necks s|d to 6£d.
