CAPTURED MISSIONARIES
STILL IN HANDS OF BANDITS STRONG REPRESENTATIONS TO NANKING (United Press Association—By EUotrio Telegraph—Copyright) PEKING, 20th February. Through an indirect channel news lias reached the British Legation that the Australian missionary-Mi' Hayman, and Mr Bosshardt, his Swiss companion, are still in Hunan province where they were taken soon after their capture by bandits at Kweichow last autumn. This is the first word regarding the captives received for some time In addition to making strong representations to the Nanking authorities, the Legation has sent an assistant military attache, Lieutenant Millar, to Changsha in order to maintain contact with the Governor of Hunan.
