WAR FROM THE AIR
BOMB-PROOF SHELTERS EXPERIMENTS ON ENGLISH COAST (United Presß Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 18th February, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, 17th February. “Reynold’s News” says the Government is constructing experimentally vast bomb-proof shelters at strategic points on the coast which the Air Force will shortly bomb. If the shelters prove effective more will be built close to towns. Plans are also being prepared for a shelter large enough to house an entire squadron of aeroplanes on a site near London. It is believed tests will reveal the shelters to be impenetrable to any bomb yet produced.
