GLIDER ACCIDENT
YOUNG MAN KILLED AT CAIRNS

Robert Harris (22) was killed when his glider crashed 150 feet at Saltpan aerodrome, Cairns. The glider, which was home-made, failed to come out of a dive, struck the ground with terrific force and was embedded to a depth of two feet.
