CHILD EMIGRATION
FARM SCHOOL IN CANADA 1000 ACRES purchased (United Press Association—By Eleotrin Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 14th February. As a result of an appeal by the Prince of Wales, a fund has reached £60,000 from which the Child Emigration Society has purchased a thousand acres on Vancouver Island and established a Fairbridge Farm School similar to that in Western Australia. The “Leader” says that child emigration is the only form of organised settlement in the dominions which has survived the recent difficult year. EXTENSION OF -SCHEME
LONDON, 14th February. Tim Australian Press Association understands that the Child Emigration Society is contemplating the establishment of two more new schools, probably in Queensland and New Zealand.
