JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP •ATHLETIC DEFEAT VICTORY On Saturday afternoon at Trafalgar Park, Athletic defeated Victory by 8G runs on the first innings. Batting first Victory made 59 runs (O. De Fue 29). Bowling for Athletic, Bellsworthy took one wicket for 14 runs, M. Guy five for 21, Sexton none for 14. Athletic replied with 145 for seven wickets declared (Jenson 23, Sexton 11, Bellsworthy 2G, M. Guy 52, Pike 17): Bowling for Victory: F. De Fue one for 32, Mayo two for 23, Beard two for 35, Day two for 48. In their second innings Victory lost six wickets for 11G when stumps were drawn (Holland 19, Mayo 28, Beard 28). Bowling for Athletic: Sexton two for 10, Guy one for 43, Bellsworthy one for 12, Cronin one ior 15, Pike one for 12.
