A very pretty wedding was-’solemnised at St. Thomas’s Church, . Motueka, when Frances Lilian Hunter, of Bainham, was married to GUj)"Richard, Carmichael ■ Bourne, of - the WhakareWa Boys’ Home, Motueka- , The. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Canon G. A. Crossman and Miss Natalie Crossman presided at the organ. Tlie bride, who was given away by her uncle,. MiFrank Hayes, of Murchison, wore a beautiful gown of parchment. Satin, modelled on 1 graceful lines with full flared skirt, cowl neckline and long sleeves tapering to a point over the hands. Her veil of net fitted close to the head with a plait of silver ribbon and turquoise blue velvet. She carried a lovely sheaf of arum lilies with white streamers, to, which a blue velvet horse shoe was attached.

Tlie bride was attended by her sister. Miss ■ Audrey -Hunter, who wore, a charming frock' of rose pink satin relieved with pink georgette of a lighter shade aiid pink shoes to match: r, Her head-dress was of pink' satin covered with small pink georgette flowers. She carried a lovely bouquet of pink camellias and maidenhair fern. The bride was also attended by two page boys, Henry Tyrell and Ivan Frost, both of the Whakarewa Home, who' were attired in turquoise blue satin ‘ suits, trimmed with sivler lace jabots and trillings on tlie sleeves. Mr Walter Bourne was best man.

Tlie old Whakarewa boys, of whom twenty were present, formed a guard of honour from the church to the bride’s car.

After the ceremony. Mr and Mrs 11. Stewart (Master and Matron of Whakarewa) held a reception at the Home, where the large dining room was artistically decorated with green and pink streamers radiating from a large pink bell. Beautiful ferns added to the colour scheme. The guests were received by Mrs Stewart, who wore a frock of blue nioraeain trimmed with lace to match, and a swagger coat and hat of bakau straw, relieved with touches of mustard and silver to match the buttons on tlie coat and frock. She carried a posy of violets and freesias.

Mrs B. Hunter, mother- of the bride, wore a lovely black moracain frock, trimmed with white and black and white hat to match. She carried a posy of blue and white violets. '

Many beautiful and useful presents were received by the happy couple. Mr and Mrs Bourne left by car for one of the bays, Mrs Bourne wearing a smart black costume with black and white vest, hat gloves and bag to tone.
