The advance in' the price of gold, which at, this morning’s fixing was 2d up at 141 s 7d. ’establishing a new high record. was due to movement of exchanges in (lie interval silica Saturday’s fixing of price, and included a premium of 2s 3d over the dollar at 4.98 J, and of 6d over the franc at 74&.
