NELSON GUN CLUB

The Nelson Gun Club held a. very successful shoot, on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance of competitors and onlookers. The scores were not very good owing to the strong wind that) was blowing, making the birds fly very fast and keeping them low. The first- match was a five bird trophy shoot, thirteen taking part. Seven secured 4 out of 5 birds. The 1 decided to carry on, first miss out, for the two trophies in the next shoot. S. Spencer and M. Cussen were the only ones to secure the possible in the second shoot and divided the three trophies. The third shoot was a four bird trophy match. G. Burrough, M. Cussen and L. M. Andrews secured the possible, and L. M. Andrews won in the shoot-off. The following took part in the competitions : T. Hay, J. Donnelly, B. Harman, C. H. Marsh (1933 champion), C. Cowman, G. Burrough, S. Spencer, N. Russ. L. Schroder, G. Parkes, M. Cussen, G. Andrews, L. M. Andrews.
