New ■ Zealand veterans’ golf tournament, decided at Arikipakapa to-day, O’Callaghan (Hawora) defeated Col. Hughes (Wellington) 10 and 9, . for the Veterans’ Cup, and Hutchison (Gisborne) beat Barker (Gisborne), 1 up, in the final of the Arikikapakapa Cup handicap .event. AUSTRALIAN WOMEN’S TITLE (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, Ist September. The Australian women’s singles golf championship will commence on Thursday. AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS TO VISIT AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND NEW YORK, 31st August. Gene Sarazen and Joe Kirkwood, professional golfing tourists, have completed plans to visit Australia . and New Zealand this autumn and winter. They are sailing from Vancouver on 12th September via Honolulu, and a month later they will be reinforced by half-a-dozen professional associates in seeking the Australian open championship. Craig Wood, Paul Runyan. Densmore Sliute, Johnny Resolvts, Harry Cooper and K. Y. Laffoon have honked passages and leave the west coast on [ 12th October.
