GRAND MASTER’S OFFICIAL VISIT Several members from the Loyal Nelson and Loyal Howard Lodges accompanied the district officers on their official visit to the Loyal Mansion of Peace Lodge, Wakefield. ’ At Wakefield the Nelson’memrberS were joined by members from the Mdtueka and Montere branch, arid altogether the whole gathering was a very enthusiastic one. ‘Veteran N.G. Bro. Wells, of the Mansion of Peace Lodge, welcomed the visitors and trusted that they would have a very enjoyable evening. The District G.M. Bro. E. «L Curry, D.S. Bro. C. R. Cooke. P.D.G.M. Bro. A. L. Viokerman, Motueka D.D.G.M. Bro. C. Reynish, .Mou to re, and Bro.. Playfair suitably replied. During the evening the chairs were occupied by the officers of the Loyal Howard Lodge. As an instruction-a mock initiation took place, and was veiy creditable to those concerned. At the conclusion of the ordinary business D.G.M. Bro. E, J. Curry paid a tribute to Bro. Wells for being one of the mainstays of the Mansion of Peace lodge, also for .having fo 'r daughters and one son members of the order. The Sis-, tors M.,and J. Wells were past N.G’s., Sister. N. Wells holding office at V.G. P.D.G.M. Bin. A. G. Stewart,and. P.D.G.M. Bro. A. L. Vickerman endorsed the Grand Master’s remarks on the record which was indeed a credit to the order. > After the meeting closed the members were entertained at supper at the homo of Bro. and Mrs Wells where a very enjoyable evening was spent) in dancing iiiid' playing games. Tn thanking the host and hostess, the G.M. on behalf of the members expressed appreciation. P.D.G.M’s. Bro. Stewart and Bro. A. L. Vickcrriimi also added a few words of congratulations. "The singing of “For they are io!!v good fellows” and “Anld Lang Syne” concluded a most pleasant evening.
