The Grey Hospital Board has appointed Dr. J. N. Bridgman medical superintendent of the Grey Hospital. Formerly he was surgeon superintendent at the Wallace District Hospital, Riverton. The board also appointed Dr. W. K. Hamilton chief surgeon. At present he is Assistant medical superintendent at the Christchurch Public Hospital.
The Rev. David Calder, Dominion secretary for the British and Foreign Bible Society arrived from Wellington this morning and will be in Nelson‘and district till Wednesday next for the annual meetings of the Nelson and Richmond branches of the Bible Society. Mr W. Houlker who was injured in a recent accident on the Moutere Hill was reported from the Manuka street hospital to-day to be making good progress towards recovery.
