Moving pictures in the cause of missions are a novelty to Nelson. They will be shown next Thursday night iii St. John’s by the Rev. A. H. Scivin, who has been for many years a missionary in Papua. A collection will be taken for foreign mission funds.
The Nelson Provincial Socttish Society will hold its fortnightlv Ingleside in the Oddfellows Hall. Waimea street on Monday next. The programme has been arranged by the Society’s Taliuna members and includes vocal and instrumental items, Highland dancing, and a. short nlnvlet which will be interspersed with ball-room dancing. A large number is expected from yXalnum bv special buses and members are assured of an enjoyable evening’s entertainment.
