In the women’s singles, fourth round, Miss Round defeated Mrs Whittingstall 3-G, 6-4, 6-3; Miss Stammers defeated Miss Dearman 7-9, 7-5, In the women’s doubles, second round, Miss Crichton and Miss Robson beat Mrs Molesworth and Miss Hartigan 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. In tlie mixed doubles, Sharpe and Miss Deannan defeated Hopman and Mrs Hopman 8-6, 3-6, 6-3. In the mixed doubles second round Stedman and Miss McAlpine defeated Kirby and Miss Heeley 2-6, 7-5, 6-3; Malfroy and Miss Stammers defeated Peters and Mrs Peters 8-6, 6-3.

In the doubles, third round. Perry and Lee defeated Kirby and Miki 6-2, 6- 2-6, 4-6, Boussus and Merlin defeated Nishimura and Kamagishi 7- 6-4, 6-2.
