GOLDEN DAWN DEPORT The manager’s report for the fortnight ending 21st April, states: — No. 4 Level —Drive on No. 3 reef from 30 feet up rise extended 10 feet, reef 12 inches wide, at present broken into stringers j average assay, bs lid a ton. BELL-KILGOUR COMPANY The secretary of the Bell-Kilgour Gold Mining Company, Ltd., advises receipt of a report from the manager, dated 28th April, reading as follows: — "Mam face No. 2 west cross-cut: Advanced 12 ft on a rising floor for fair fine gold. North-cast block : Squaring up amongst old workings and securing some good gold. tioulli-easL block : Driving No 1 along boundary partly tiirougn ohi workings and securing fair gold. TALISMAN DUBBO GOLD MINES, LIMITED The directors of the Talisman Duhbo Gold Mines, Limited, have declared an interim dividend (the second this year) of 10 per cent. (6d a share), payable on 15th May, and the share register of the company will be closed from 11th May to 15th May for the purpose of payment of the dividend.

During the three months ending 31st March, 1934, 3421,- tons were treated at the Golden Dawn battery, Owharaa, for the company, for a gross actual return of £4025. Deducting all costs of winning ore, transport, and treatment, left a credit of £2366 18s 6d to profit and loss account. An interim dividend of 10 per cent, was declared on 28th March, absorbing £B7l 8s 6d, and a second interim dividend at the same rate is now declared. During the month of April a further 1281, tons were treated for a gross return of £1219. During the first three months of the year £s<3 Is 3d were expended on development and buildings. The result of development work has been eminently satisfactory.
