ADVANCEMENT IN NEW ZEALAND IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP WITH N.S.W. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received Ist May, 10.20 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. The New South Wales Rugby League delegates to the Board of Control, who are leaving for a conference in Brisbane, will carry an instruction to bring up the question of the advancement of the code in New Zealand. When a recommendation was made at last night's meeting of the council that no further financial assistance be given New Zealand, Mr Mostyn, the St. George delegate. held that there was an important relationship between New Zealand and New South Wales. In moving that the Board of Control should consider the advancement of the game in New Zealand, Mr Mostyn contended that New Zealand was as necessary to the sport as Queensland. “I think they are even more sincere in New Zealand than they are in Queensland,” he said. Mr Mostyn’s motion was carried.
