MOTORIST CHARGED
RECKLESS DRIVING ALLEGED (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, This Day. Victor Frederick Melville, alleged to be the motorist who collided with a cyclist at Sockburn on Tuesday evening and then drove on, was charged in the Police Court with recklessly, driving, a car, and was remanded to Christchurch on Bth May. The police stated that accused was driving at a. high speed and collided so violently with a cyclist that the latter was thrown over the top of the car, the cycle being carried along the road about three miles. Accused came to Dunedin, where he was arrested under an assumed name.
