AUSTRALIAN EXPORTS PROPOSED REGULATIONS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CANBERRA, 21st April. Proposals for tlie .regulation of exports of certain primary industries will he formulated at a conference in Sydney next week between tlie Minister of Commerce (Mr F. If. Stewart), and the State Ministers of Agriculture.. The proposals, when completed, will he submitted to the various State Governments which are expected to announce tliei: general policies within about a month. There will then he a further conference of Federal and State Governments, probably in. eonjunction with the Loan Council during June, when the plans will he advanced a further stage.
CHILLED BEEF THE ENGLISH MARKET BIG COUP BEING PLANNED LONDON, 20th August. The “Yorkshire Observer” says that Australian meat dealers are planning a big coup on tlie English markets. Modified storage methods will enable the arrival of chilled beef in the same excellent condition as Argentine. The success of the campaign will seriously affect the Argentine, indirectly injuring British industries.
