RACING IN NEW YORK
EFFORT TO REVIVE SPORT , LEGAL BETTING (United Press Association—By Electric' Telegraph—Copyright) ALBANY, 17th April.- 7 New York State will soon have legal betting at horse racing for the first time in 25 years, as the Legislature passed a Bill to that effect in an effort to revive the sport. There has always been a heavy bookmaking traffic, which--was more or less open, but illegal.
