OTTAWA AGREEMENTS
, QUESTION OF CONTINUANCE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 19lii April, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, 18th April. In the House of Commons Mr J. H. Thomas, Dominions Secretary, in reply to a question, said the Ottawa agreements remained in force until June, and thereafter would be sub ject to 6 months’ notice. The question of continuance did not arise now, though it was true Australia had increased the duties on five lines of British manufactures. After the agreement she reduced them" on 149 lines.
