OFFENDER FINED £5 “CONTEMPTIBLE AND CRIMINAL" (By Telegraph—Press Association) TIMARU, This Day. At the Police Court Clarence Victor Nelson was fined £5 and ordered to pay £2 10s for wilfully damaging books in the Public Library. Nelson pleaded guilty. l- > , The Magistrate said that when people 'are trusted with public property and thev to back oil that it is contemptible and criminal.
