WAIMEA DEFENCE CLUB The Waiinca Defence Rifle Club held the last competition of the year on Saturday. Rifleman F. G. Robertson won tlie first class Feathers and J. Mniscy the second class. The Championship Shield was won by S. Wells. A. Maisey being the runner-up, and taking his own trophy. Tlie Tennis Cup resulted in atie between S. Wells and A. Maisey, Maisey winning the shoot-off by one point. The Bowers Cup, second class championship, was won by A. J. Robertson with J. Maisey runner-up, and taking R. Freeman’s trophy. The Club’s Handicap Cup was won by I. Brown, P. N. Wilson being runner-up. Following arc the scores:—
