PLUCKY SIKH GIRL
BANDITS HELD AT BAY (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CALCUTTA, lltli April. A seventeen-year-old Sikh girl, liarrain Knar, of a village in Ferozpore, though unarmed kept at bay four armed bandits who attacked the house while her father and brother were working in nearby fields. The brother arriving killed two, and the girl detained one though she was badly wounded. The fourth escaped. The girl’s captive was fatally stabbed by the father.
