NEMALUK SENTENCED TO DEATH (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received lltli April, 10.15 a.m.) DARWIN, This Day. Tiie aboriginal Nemalulc wfis found guilty of having murdered a Japanese named Owaslii at Port Keats in July, 1931, and sentenced to death. Two other Japanese were also killed at the same time, and for their murder five natives have already been convicted. Nemaluk’s sentence will be commuted to life imprisonment, as it lias been the practice never to hang an aboriginal in the Northern Territory.
