ROAD BOARD ELECTION
PAYMENT OF RATES (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. No ratepayers in Mount Roskill road board district will be allowed to vote at the board election next month unless all rates,, including water charges, are paid. Tliis is the effect of legal advice received by the board. Provision is made in the Road Boards Act, but it is stated that the clause has not previously been enforced. No similar restriction is placed on candidates. At present 7CO ratepayers are disqualified but they have till election day to pay.
