POPE’S HOLIDAY
LIVE AS COUNTRY GENTLEMAN VATICAN CITY. 2nd April. The Pope will go to the country after Ascension Day (19th May) for a summer holiday of two months. Ho. will stay at- the Papal Villa, at Castel-Gaiidolfo, in the Alban llills, 13 miles from Rome, and live like a country gentleman, daily visiting the adjoining Papa| farm. Only a few prelates and a detachment of Swiss guards to do dutv in the antechamber will accompany the Pope. The villa was the regular Papa! summer resort until 1870. when the Vatican broke with the Italian Government.
