“POSITIVE DISGRACE”
CHRISTCHURCH MUSEUM (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, 10th April. “Your museum is a positive disgrace. It has many rare and interesting things iu it, but it has been allowed to get into a sad state. I believe it has no endowments. Why don’t von Jo something about it?” This comment was made by Mr Bernard Shaw yesterday after a brief tour toe the city’s attractions. “I would not be surprised if the curator has lo spend some of his time helping in tile cleaning work,” lie added, "’they are in a better position in Auckland. Your art gallery—now that is a decent tiling l Why not the museum?”
