Ilia Mining Committee of tlie Waimen on lily Council which supervises the worlc of unemployed under the gold subsidy scheme in the Wautapeka, reported to to-day’s meeting that £7O worth ol gold was sold last month. This was the greatest return made since the subsidy work was commenced. There are, at present about 120 men engaged on this work in the Wangapeka Valley.
