NEWFOUNDLAND BILL
RECEIVES ROYAL ASSENT (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 21st December. The Newfoundland Bill received the Royal assent, and an offer is made to the holders of various Newfoundland obligations to change into guaranteed 3 per cent, stock repayable in whole or in part at par on Ist Julv 1963, or at the option of Newfoundland on or after Ist July, 1943 on three months’ notice being given. Principal, interest and sinking fund are guaranteed by the British Treasury.
