“REUNION IN VIENNA,” MAJESTIC, TO NIGHT With John Barrymore starred and Diana Wynvard heading the. supporting cast, the' filming of “Reunion in Vienna” provides a glamorous background for the brilliant dialogue. Barrymore i s at his best as the Barrymorish llapsburgh and offers as engaging a portrayal as lie has accomplished. Tlie picture crowns Miss Wvnyard with the mantle of stardom. She negotiates her role ol the love-hungry Viennese wife with a genuine sympathy. She is beautifully photographed ami her performance fits nicely alongside llarrymore’s own excellent portrayal. Naturally, Mctro-Gold-wyn-Mayer’s gorgeous mounting of the play adds lustre to the Him, which screens to-night at the Majestic Theatre. Particularly striking are the settings and costuming. Much credit must go to the director for his careful translation ami for the delicate handling of situations. The play remains intact on tlie screen, with the exception of a few added touches here and there, notably in tlie opening scenes, which show 1 lie glory of the imperial court during the pompous reign of Emperor Franz Josef, a prelude, as it wore, to the body of Sherwood’s piece.
