WILDEST SPECTACLE
WRESTLERS’ FIERCE ENCOUNTER LUR.IOH-PENCHEFF AFFAIR (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) BRISBANE, This Day. The wildest spectacle ever associated with wrestling in Brisbane marked the contest between Lurich and Pencheff. Both were disqualified in the third round after which they flew at each other and a fierce encounter took place outside the ropes, the blood bespattered wrestlers being completely out of control. •'After the police had stopped a bout among the spectors Lurich returned to the ring and floored the referee. The latter was rising when, lie was struck on the head by a chair thrown by a spectator. The referee dropped to the floor, blood gushing from a bad scalp wound. The police then escorted the wrestlers from the stadium.
