A Christchurch Press Association telegram reports the death in Rotherham Hospital, following an illness, of Mrs -Alf. Brustad, formerly Miss Aroha Clif ford. Prior to her marriage she was a flying enthusiast. Mrs Brustad was 25 years of age. Her death followed the birth of a son two days ago. She was New Zealand’s first woman pilot. Her husband was a former guide at Mount Cook.
