GERMANY DEFEATS BRITAIN AT THE WHITE CITY (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 20th August. At the Whit? City Germany beat Britain by 75 points to 59 at athletics. Borclnneyer had a convincing double, winning the 100 yards and the 220 vards. Britain halved the track events, but was defeated in all field events. Superiority in throwing and jumping events gave the German athletes vicThere was no untoward incident at the meeting, but Jews were boycotted. Men paraded outside the ground with anti-Hitlerite placards.
