CHALLENGE AND CHEER MISSION
At St. John’s Methodist Church yesterday there were large congregations when Students Goodman and Tozer commenced their week’s mission. Mr G. H. Goodman conducted the morning service and spoke on “The Conditions for Power in the Christian Life.” Mr 11. J. Tozer, M.A., conducted the evening service, taking as his subject, “The Indispensable Christ.” At the conclusion of the service many of those present came to the front as a token of reconsecration. A feature of the services was the community singing led by Mr Goodman. At the evening service Miss A. Knight sang “My Life was given for Thee,” and the choir rendered the anthem, “They have taken away My Lord,” Mrs Marks being the soloist. The services will be continued every night this week at 7.30 in St. John’s Church.
