ASSAULTED BY NAZI
AMERICAN DOCTOR REFUSAL TO SALUTE STRONG PROTEST (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 18th August, The “Daily Mail’s” Berlin correspondent states "that the American consul strongly protested against the Nazi assault on the American Dr. Daniel Mulviliill, whom a Nazi storm trooper violently struck on the face because he refused to salute a Nazi detachment which passed while Dr. Mulviliill was standing in Unter der Linden. The consul informed the German Government that if there were further cases of insult or maltreatment of Americans, the United States Government would warn Americans not to come to Germany. A Frenchman was similarly assaulted in Berlin last week.

PROPAGANDA IN AUSTRIA
LONDON, 18th August
The “News-Chronicle’s” Vienna correspondent says that German Nazis are reported to bo camouflaging German aeroplanes as Austrian for future use in dropping seditious literature in Austrian territory. It is stated that the machines will be piloted by Austrian emigrants, thus avoiding the charge that Germany is violating Austrian independence.
