ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION
NEW MEMBERS NEEDED The Nelson branch of the Nelson - Marlborough Sub-Centre of the St. John Ambulance Association are commencing a series of lectures very shortly and particulars will he advertised later. This course will be for instruction in first aid and men members who qualify for the certificate will be eligible to join the Nelson Ambulance Division which has been doing good service oil the sports field and at public gatherings during the past two years. More members are wanted for the Division as the calls for duties are increasing and in some eases it has been impossible to comply with requests for attendance of an ambulance officer owing to lack of numbers. The Nelson Nursing Division are also doing excellent work and they too need more lady members. 'Thu value of these first aid classes is indisputable and everyone who possibly can is urged to take the course, and those who have gained their certificate are asked to join the Division, though of ,course they are under no obligation to do so. The fees for the course are low and all interested should make enquiries either I l oin one of the members or the secretary. Those unable to join the classes may become honorary members and assist with this good work in this wav.
