WRESTLING
WALKER DEFEATS CLARK (By Telegraph— Press Association) HAWERA, This Day. After having given the impression that lie could have ended the bout much earlier. Walker last evening defeated Clark by submission falls gained with a hammerlock and a Greek cross respectively in the fourth and fifth rounds. It was a colourless bout. Clark secured the first fall in the third round with a dump and body press, but he never seemed to give serious opposition. He apparently was suffering from the effect of a recent back injury. There was a very large attendance, which showed little Enthusiasm in the early stages and adopted an apathetic attitude after Clark’s fate. Pennies were thrown in the ring during the bout and a large section hooted vociferously at its conclusion.
