TARIFF COMMISSION
AUCKLAND EVIDENCE
(By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day, The Chamber of Commerce decided to tender evidence to the Tariff Commission on broad issues, and" it appointed a committee to prepare a statement upon the following subjects: A basis of currency conversion for duty purposes; appeals against the Minister’s decisions under the Customs Act; a sliding scale of wheat and flour duties and the removal of the surtax on goods from all British countries. The statement before going before the commission must he approved hv the Chamber.
