Jenkins, jockey, by the judicial committee of the Te Aroha Jockey Club in connection with l)he running., of, 'Chief Cook in the Waihou. Handicap at the Te Aroha meeting on Saturday, the owner, of the horse, E. Montague, appeared before file 'committee and a similar disqualification was imposed upon him utider Rule 295 .which governs the running of a. horse. On its merits. Chief Cook; >vho won in three -of -his ,lasp four,, stftrfs, was one of a field of seven in'the Waiboti Handicap, -and was ridden by G. Jenkins. Tie was fifth fancy on both the win and place 'totalisators and finished third in a race in ■which there were insuffiqieht starters for more than two dividends.
