DICTATORSHIP ENDED
LANG AND LABOUR PARTY ADVICE REJECTED BY CONFERENCE (United Press Assooiation-r-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 13th February,,9,ss a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The outstanding feature of the Metropolitan Labour Conference was that Mr LangV’iul vice concerning a socialisuton policy for the next Federal election was rejected. • The conference refused to revoke its former decisions, and declared for straight-out socialisation without limitation as the policy of the Australian Labour Party for the Federal elections. The unification proposals of Mr Lang were described as a red herring drawn across the track. The “Herald” says that since 1927 Mr Lang lias occupied the position of dictator in tho Labour Party having been given absolute power by the executive. The decision of the conference means that that dictatorship is ended.
