BATHURST CENTENARY
CELEB RATION CEREMONY (Unite-! Press Association—By Eleetrio Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 12th February. Bathurst celebrated its centenary yesterday with the inauguration by the Premier, Mr Stevens, of a “Back to Bathurst Week.” There was a very large gathering despite a ukase by the local Labour League that all unionists boycott the proceedings. Mr Stevens congratulated the city on the progress made and the part the district was taking in the vehabilitaion ol the State’s fortunes. He pointed out that unemployment in Bathurst had been reduced«over 50 per cent, in six months.
