DROPPING OF BOMB
ON MUTINOUS CRUISER PANIC AMONGST RATING HOLES BLOWN IN DECK (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) BATAVIA, lltli February. The Navy Department states that the bomb entered the Seven Provinces on the port side of the forward funnel, causing great panic among the rating gathered on the main deck. Several holes were blown in the upper deck and the funnels riddled, but otherwise the'ship was undamaged. A lieutenant standing on the poop was wounded in the leg by fragments of the bomb. The divisional commander at Batavia announces that no private persons will he admitted to the Onrust Island portion of the defence zone.
