SHARP IMPROVEMENT (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) NEW YORK, 10th February. A sharp improvement in the retail trade, and larger activity in the principal wholesale markets is reported by mercantile reviews. While heavier industries are still moving sluggishly the cold weather was materially aided many lines of winter business. It is believed new buying will probably clear out most of the winter stocks.
