CITIZENS CONDEMN PROPOSALS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CALCUTTA, 10th February. A large public meeting of Indian citizens at Bombay roundly condemned the Round Table Conference proposals as falling far short of the legitimate aspirations of the most moderate opinion in India. The main criticism was directed against the Viceroy’s retention of the powers of over-riding the Legislative Assembly, also against financial safeguards.
