At tennis, R. Dunlop and Miss J, Hartigan won the mixed doubles from Allison and Mrs Yan Rvn on a default. Allison, the American captain, protested that lie wanted the match played to-day, but the referee disallowed it.
Australia’s team for the Second Test match against the Americans is: J. Crawford (captain), H. Hopman, C. S. Sproule, V. McGrath and A. Quist (emergency).
