GOLD DISCOVERY
REPORT PROM WEST COAST OLD RIVER- CHANNEL ' (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, This Day. Information of what appears to be a gold discovery of considerable importance on the West Coast has been received at Dunedin. The information received was to the effect that one bucketful of wash had yielded £5 worth of gold. The course of an old river channel, the exact location of which Mr Stewart, mining engineer, declined to disclose, has been pegged out for a distance of six miles.
