HE CLEANS 100,000 WINDOWS

George Wilson is one of the men who clean the windows at the Crystal Palace. It seems a simple job until you realise that there are 100,000 panes of glass which, if placed end to end, would reach 242 miles. Day after day Wilson swings in a little cradle sometimes 280 feet in the aiiv ®n windy days he works a little lower. By the time Wilson and his pals have once rounded their “Matterhorn” it is time to start all over again. “I suppose I must have attended to millions of panes in my time —bill I never get a- pain myself. It’s the healthiest job in the world,” avers Wilson.
